Our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF)

The David Puryear Center is a developmental center for adults in Arkansas who function intellectually in the mild to profound range of intellectual disability. Since its opening in October 1989, DPC has provided medical & nursing care as well as individualized treatment programs for adults eighteen (18) years of age & older. We are licensed by the Office of Long Term Care and have a capacity of 10 adults.

The David Puryear Center is licensed under state law to provide health related care & services to individuals who do not require the degree of care and treatment which a hospital or skilled nursing home is designed to provide.

The David Puryear Center’s function is to assist our clients to remain physically, mentally, & socially active for as long as possible. We provide assistance with activities of daily living & encouragement of appropriate exercise of physical activity, intellectual stimulation & social motivation.
